Performance-Focused Veterinary Physiotherapy

Brogan is a Category A Veterinary Physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Liverpool Veterinary School in 2021. Her background combines veterinary physiotherapy with specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy in human private practice, giving her a distinctive approach rooted in both animal rehabilitation and elite sport performance.

Having trained through leading veterinary teaching hospitals in orthopaedics, surgery and lameness, Brogan has developed experience across both equine and small animal cases, including rehabilitation following injury, performance support and post-operative care. Her clinical background includes:

  • Small Animal Orthopaedics at Torrington Orthopaedics

  • Equine Surgery and Sports Medicine at Pool House Equine Clinic

  • Small Animal Physiotherapy at the University of Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital

  • Equine Orthopaedics at the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital

She also works closely with specialist sports medicine and orthopaedic vets, allowing her to support horses as part of a collaborative performance and rehabilitation team. This is particularly valuable for competition horses where veterinary assessment, rehabilitation planning and performance management all need to align.

Alongside her veterinary work, Brogan also works within specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapy and professional sport, including experience supporting England-level athletes. This means she brings the standards, structure and performance principles seen in professional human sport into her veterinary physiotherapy practice.

Brogan works with owners and riders who want more than maintenance therapy. She has a particular passion for supporting competition horses in eventing, dressage and other performance disciplines, helping them improve movement quality, manage training demands, recover from injury and perform to their full potential.

Her philosophy is simple: treat the athlete like an athlete. By combining veterinary physiotherapy expertise with a high-performance sport background, and by working closely with specialist vets, Brogan offers a results-driven approach for horses and dogs where soundness, movement and longevity matter.
